Avedon - Lighting

The reason as to why I wanted to look into Richard Avedon, especially his project 'American West, is due to his use of lighting. he strips away the environment is which the subject comes from and replaces it with a simple white background. This elevates the importance of the individual(s) as they are the only thing within the image. Avedon was know to use two soft boxes to flatten the image.

next steps

- book out the head and shoulders studio and test out lighting, use two softboxs, light white background
