Compensating for darker backgrounds

Compositional these images are better than the ones in my last shoot and I think this is the style that I am going to go with. I wanted to get prepared for the location shoot for anything that could go wrong. Using a darker background, which is likely to be similar to the walls in the hospice, helped me to understand what kind of light i would need. i established that more light would be needed and i would do this by using one light source by using the bowens kit to create a similar look to Lewis Khans work.
