Mathieu Asselin is a photographer who's work is currently being shown at The Photographers Gallery which i visited whilst in London. I thought his work and style could be an aid to my project as in this video he describes his work as a 'timeline' documenting important moments in the history of Monsanto, an American corporation with a toxic legacy.
In this particular work, Asselin acknowledges the important of archival material along with his own photography to aid the story which he is telling. Ever since the beginning of this project i have wanted to included archival materials and memorabilia about Hamworthy to enhance the story that i am telling about my hometown but i was worried that it would not quite fit, however from looking into Asselins 'Monsanto' i have found that this idea has the possibility to work beautifully and create a documented journey.
